Troop Elections
As part of a scout run troop, periodic elections take place
to select the junior leaders of our troop. The positions of Senior Patrol
Leader and Patrol Leader are filled by troop elections, where each scout
has one vote for Senior Patrol Leader and one vote for the leader of his
patrol. Scouts elected to these positions will appoint their assistants and
will serve for six months. All other Junior Leader positions are appointed
by the Senior Patrol Leader in consultation with the Scoutmaster.
Anyone wishing to hold a Junior Leadership position must complete
a troop leadership application, indicating the position he would like to hold,
his qualifications and a description of what he would like to accomplish.
All candidates must meet the minimum requirements
set by the troop.
Elected candidates must maintain the requirements
for the position throughout their term in office. Failure to do so will result
in removal from office. A scout removed from office may reapply during the next
election cycle.
For more information on the position requirements, go to the
Junior Leader Positions page.
To be considered for a Junior Leader position, complete the
application form and return to
the Scoutmaster.
